Two crews, two series, nine missions. Commander Seren Halen and the ship Limiar explore crystalline worlds under the Non-Interference Directive. Commander Kael Drenov and the ship Andrômeda follow the signals of an extinct civilization while hidden factions fight over the truth.

This is responsible-contact science fiction: meeting the unknown is handled with care, and the threat usually comes from the institutions that would rather bury what was found. Each mission ends within its book; the consequences carry into the next.

Commander Halen

VOL. 1

Echo of the Quasar

An impossible signal reaches the edge of known space — modulated, deliberate, coming from a planet where no instrument detects life. Commander Seren Halen takes the Limiar to investigate. What the crew finds on Verath-9 isn't an empty world: it's an entire civilization, alive inside the crystal formations covering the planet — and their arrival has already begun erasing it.

The Crystal Portal

The echo left behind on Verath-9 wasn't a distress call. It was an address. When the Limiar reaches the coordinates the signal pointed to, it finds a crystalline portal suspended in the void — a structure no AICR catalog recognizes, leading to a world that, according to the official record, shouldn't exist. Commander Halen must decide what to do with what she finds on the other side before the agency decides for her.

VOL. 3

The Voice of the Abyss

A signal identical to the one from Verath-9 arrives from a place where no civilization should exist — and this time, someone aboard the Limiar itself is sabotaging the mission from within. As Commander Halen tries to trace the signal's origin, she discovers the ship's systems have been remotely altered, the logs tampered with, and one of her own crew has been following orders he never revealed to her.

Return to Eridani

After violating the very law she swore to protect, Commander Halen returns to AICR headquarters to answer for everything she's done — and everything she's uncovered. The man who architected decades of institutional silence is waiting for her, and this time he won't operate from the shadows. Halen walks into the final hearing carrying, literally under her own skin, living proof of everything the institution tried to erase.

The Andromeda Saga

The Trail of the Black Pulsar

A pulse of radiation arrives in a pattern that shouldn't exist in nature — coming from a region with no star ever catalogued. Commander Kael Drenov diverts the Andrômeda from her assigned route, against direct Fleet orders, to investigate. What the crew finds is a beacon built by a long-extinct civilization — and what it's guarding could rewrite the balance of power among the stars.

The Signal from Vega-9

Seventeen years ago, the Fleet declared Vega-9 station destroyed. Now an encrypted signal, unmistakably human in origin, arrives from those same coordinates. When the Andrômeda arrives to investigate, she finds survivors living in silence inside the sealed sections of a station that, officially, stopped existing long ago — and a direct Fleet order to leave them behind.

Diamond Cut in the False Orbit

An asteroid disguised as ordinary debris hides an illegal mining operation — and the crystals it's extracting aren't just rare minerals. They're emitting a pattern that can only be language. With the Andrômeda damaged and survivors aboard with nowhere else to go, Commander Kael Drenov must decide whether to shut the mine down, expose the operation, or hand the crystals over — knowing every choice has a price someone will pay.

VOL. 4

Last Mission to Tau Ceti

A signal responds precisely to the data the Andrômeda made public in the previous mission — coordinates for a star system nearly twelve light-years away, outside any known jurisdiction. With an armed Fleet vessel hours from interception and the Andrômeda's own systems seriously damaged, Commander Kael Drenov orders the jump to Tau Ceti knowing there may be no way back.

VOL. 5

Eclipse in the Kuiper Belt

The route back to the Fleet tribunal passes through the Kuiper Belt — and that's where Commander Kael Drenov discovers that the very data he made public in the previous mission has been used by a corporation to locate and destroy the last remnants of the extinct civilization. With the ship still damaged and his deal with the Fleet running out of time, Kael gets one last chance to stop the erasure before an artificial eclipse covers it up for good.
