The route back to the Fleet tribunal passes through the Kuiper Belt — and that's where Commander Kael Drenov discovers that the very data he made public in the previous mission has been used by a corporation to locate and destroy the last remnants of the extinct civilization. With the ship still damaged and his deal with the Fleet running out of time, Kael gets one last chance to stop the erasure before an artificial eclipse covers it up for good.
